CHALET overview
Chalet Azel (No.12 on map)
We are so pleased to show off one of our newest properties in Val d'Isere, Chalet Azel. It is the brainchild of the same family who built our most beautiful chalet, La Belle Etoile and was built it in an environmentally friendly fashion - as far as is possible in the Alps. Azel (named after one of the family) lies below Belle Etoile, near the eponymous river Isere, and is a very short walk from the bus stop which will take you either to La Daille or the Bellevarde Express.
The trees which had to be chopped down to make way for the chalet have been used throughout the building - some are window sills, some are exterior cladding, etc. There is an air source heat pump which uses already heated air to help heat the water. The family also plant new trees every year to replace those felled. All in all it's a pretty cool chalet!
The very spacious and comfortable lounge and dining areas have a welcoming log fireplace and huge picture windows on 3 sides as well as a large terrace. Everything about Chalet Azel is top quality, from the triple glazing to the fixtures and fittings to the beds and pillows.
All the bedrooms are spacious and have their own ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and separate wc. There is a private outdoor hot tub on Azel's balcony.
There is a shared sauna on the ground floor of the building for the exclusive use of Le Ski guests. There is also a heated boot room and a ski store.
Chalet Azel is situated on the opposite side of the road to our own Cacholet chalets and it's a 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop which takes you to the main lifts.
